Wedding Photography at Hidcote Manor Garden in Gloucestershire
The Marriage of Haley and Andrew
Hayley and Andrew's wedding photography at Hidcote manor Garden was a lovely commission to have. These National Trust gardens are one of my favourite places to visit. Every month, the colours and vista changes with the seasons. As a wedding venue, it is perfect for anyone who wants something different, a natural environment to celebrate a marriage.
The wedding party, led by hayley, works its way through the beautiful gardens.
Hidcote manor Garden is a fabulous place to visit at any time and it is the most amazing setting in which to have your wedding.
When Hayley and Andrew tied the knot recently there, even though the weather was not great (it drizzled quite heavily at the start of the ceremony) the gardens themselves looked more lush and beautiful than if it had been a simple sunny day.
Needles to say, Hayley and Andrew were not put off in the slightest as the event itself was the most important thing for them. They were able to enjoy theGarden and their unique setting.
For me as a photographer, wedding photography at Hidcote Garden was a perfect way to combine my love of photographing people and flowers.
As Hayley walked through the garden to the ceremony area with her 3 bridesmaids, I was able to get some lovely shots of her amongst the flowers and shrubs.
Wedding Photography at Hidcote -
- where the weather lent an exotic feel to the occasion
Summer drizzle added the extra dimension of having bright umbrellas to the composition - almost like a tropical shower - as they worked their way towards the Italian House.
Each turn revealed a new 'room' and a new surprise as Haley made her way to meet Andrew.
Hidcote's many garden rooms
Hidcote Manor Garden is divided into many individual garden ‘rooms’ that make for an ever-changing scene and location for the photographs. There was certainly no danger of struggling to find a suitable backdrop for Hayley and Andrew’s wedding photography at Hidcote Garden.
With just a small group of family to witness the occasion. For both Hayley and Andrew, this was their second marriage, and it meant that they could have their daughters as the bridesmaids and son as best man.
The Sun shines on everyone at Hidcote!
The sun came out just at the right moment - straight after the ceremony - and the drizzle was replaced by a beautiful sunny afternoon. We all could move out and explore the marvellous late summer gardens at Hidcote Manor. I like to keep any posed photos as natural as possible and let whoever wants to get involved take up a position that they are comfortable with. By being relaxed about this and keeping it fun, everyone looks at their best.
