For Dumbleton Hall wedding photography, my day with Vicky and Aaron was such a good example of the best of the genre that I wanted to feature their images here.
Vicky was a most beautiful bride and as I got to know her and Aaron, I began to see why this couple were very special.
Vicky and Aaron's wedding at Dumbleton Hall went so well. All their months of planning proved well worth it and everyone there had a great time. Vicky and Aaron were the rightful centre of attention on their important day and their friends and family helped to make it most memorable . I always try to interfere as little as possible with the day and let events unfold as they have been planned - recording everything as it happens - looking for the important moments and also the simple but meaningful little things that make the day special.

Low light and nighttime images
I love the atmosphere of low lighting and try hard to capture the effect as it was at the time. When a DJ organises their lighting to set the mood, it is important not to overpower it with flashlight. Knowing how to work in these difficult conditions can make the difference between a good and a great photograph.

Vicky and Aaron have 2 young children who were both so good throughout the day.
I love photographing children at weddings. they are so natural and responsive to all the exciting events happening around them. Dumbleton Hall is a fabulous place for children to be in with its safe enclosed grounds and it is not too big so that anyone can easily get lost.
Dumbleton Hall lis a perfect wedding venue and I wave worked there at all times of year. Whatever the weather, set into the cotswolds hills, the grounds look wonderful. There are masses of spring daffodils, beautiful autumnal colours in the trees. Of course, it looks spectacular in snow and long summer days gives plenty of opportunity to explore the grounds .
Driving down the long drive is a joy for bride and groom and their guests. Often you have to pass a large flock of sheep (who seem to consider the place to be theirs, and are reluctant to get out of the way too quickly!) Whether you drive by Rolls Royce, horse and carriage or even helicopter, you get a warm reception.
The warm cotswolds stone of the building is a fabulous backdrop for wedding photographs and the lake also gives plenty of scope for creative images. If you have ever seen the autumn colours reflected in it, or a spectacular sunset, you will know what I mean. I have also had the pleasure of photographing fireworks set off from the far side of the lake and this is most spectacular!
